DREAMS
I WAS IN THE BASEMENT of my house AND DIOGO , my ex boyfriend WAS THERE HOWEVER HE DIDNT lOOK LIKE HE NORMALY Did HE HAD KET HIS HAIR GROWNHADNT HAD IT CUT - HE LOOKED MORE REAL LESS KEPT MORE LIKE ME IN ACTUALLITY .
HE was discussing with me to bring the mattress back down there and there was a framework which we had found or I had found that the mattress would sit upon however i thought it would be too heavy for the frame- the mattress I mean.
He said it wouldn’t ( he was always very innovative ) so i sai i’d let him work that out if he thought it would work go ahead and do it .
Next part of the dream he was sitting somewhere outside and doing his own thing - reading our studying or something completely unaware of what he had promised to deal with - as if the even had not happened . i thought it seemed clear who he was.
Interpreting dreams often involves analyzing the symbolism and emotions present in the dream, as well as considering your personal experiences and feelings about the people or situations in the dream. Below is a detailed interpretation of your dream:
Setting: The Basement of Your House
- Basement: The basement often symbolizes the subconscious mind and represents hidden emotions, memories, or unresolved issues. It can also symbolize the foundation of your beliefs or aspects of yourself that are usually hidden away.
- House: Generally represents the self or the dreamer’s current situation in life.
Characters: Diogo, Your Ex-Boyfriend
- Diogo's Changed Appearance: The fact that Diogo looks different in the dream — specifically more unkempt and real—could symbolize seeing a new side of him or confronting forgotten or ignored traits. This change might reflect your own evolving understanding or perspective of him and your relationship.
- Similarity to You: The unkempt appearance bringing a similarity to yourself may symbolize how you see aspects of yourself in him or your past relationship with him.
Objects: The Mattress and Framework
- Mattress: This could symbolize rest, comfort, or intimacy. The act of moving it could represent changes or transformations concerning these areas — perhaps moving away from comfort zones.
- Framework: Represents structure, support, and foundation. Your concern about the mattress being too heavy for the frame might symbolize doubt or insecurity about whether your past relationship or current emotional state can hold up under present or future strain.
Actions & Interaction
- Discussion About the Mattress: This interaction shows an attempt to cooperate or communicate with Diogo about foundational issues. His innovation and your willingness to let him handle the situation may highlight past dynamics in your relationship where you trusted his judgment.
- Neglect of Promise: Diogo's later disengagement, where he’s unaware or uninterested in dealing with the hypothetical issue he promised to address, aligns with possible past frustrations. It could suggest feelings of unreliability or unmet expectations during or after the relationship. This event might reveal an aspect of his personality that you recognize more clearly now.
Emotional Reflection
- Perception of Self and Others: The end realization of "who he was" can symbolize clarity and crystallization of understanding — maybe you've accepted certain traits about him or the outcome of your relationship.
Conclusion
Your dream about Diogo in your basement, with all its symbols and transformations, seems to reflect processing emotions regarding past relationships, especially focusing on reliability, trust, and mutual understanding. It suggests an attempt to rebuild or re-evaluate the "foundation" of how you feel about the relationship or person overall. You might be reaching a point of clarity in how you perceive past events and the people involved, learning from them, and integrating those learnings into your present life.
